We had a doctor visit for the twins today! My they are growing SO FAST! Jonathan is beating Michaela in height and weight - he weighs 13 lbs 8 oz, and Mickey is 12 lbs 7 oz. Micheala was 23 inches, and Jonathan was 24 1/2! Both are growing so well, on track for their age. I am so proud of how well they did! We are a bit behind on getting their shots, mostly because trying to get all three out of the house and to the health department is so hard and Daddy's work schedule is sorta hectic. Hopefully next week we will get in and get their vaccines.
Today is a rainy day. Everyone is all snuggled up in pajams and watching Chicken Little - well, Jonathan is watching the movie and fussing a bit. He just wants to cuddle with whoever will hold him today! Mickey and Harrison are both sleeping, I think it's the rain. Harry got a wonderful Barney poster from my sister today, I can't wait to hang it up in his bedroom. Hopefully it will encourage him to actually start sleeping in his room, instead of in the living room.
How long did it take for your children to sleep through the night? All of mine currently do, though JD wakes up around 4-6 AM for a bottle. Most everyone in our house is up by 8 AM at the latest. We are finally getting into a routine after moving to the new house. It took about a week of crying it out to get Harry sleeping on his own, but it has been a lifesaver in the past weeks. It's so hard to hear your child cry, but we were lucky and it only lasts maybe ten minutes before he falls asleep. He gets so tired, then refuses to sleep! So frustrating.
The twins usually fall asleep for the night between 8-10. They sleep separately in bassinets, which will probably work until about five months (that's how long it worked for Harry). Once they begin being able to crawl and try to escape, we will transfer them to the crib. I'm still not sure whether or not we will let them sleep together - part of me wants to, because it's sweet and they can comfort each other, but on the other hand they might keep each other up and that is the last thing I need! I already live off of Diet Mountain Dew as it is, which is totally unhealthy but so very delicious. I justify it by saying I need the caffeine, and I have no coffee maker! Maybe for mother's day? A mom can dream!
I have mountains of laundry and a pile of dirty dishes calling my name, so I'll end for today. I hope everyone has as great and love-filled day as we do in the Ryan household!
